Good smaller option for a sous vide tub

"We have the larger tub, but for smaller portions, we now use the smaller one. We also bought one for our son, as he has less storage space in his apartment. The difference between the larger and smaller, besides the obvious size difference, is the top on the smaller is less rigid. It works fine, but not as nice as top of the bigger tub. Also, take note that the smaller one does not nest perfectly inside the big one for storage. It is too high to put the large tub cover on snugly when storing one tub inside the other. I had read it was a very good fit in some online comments. Still happy we got it for smaller meals. Easier to manhandle."

"I’m extremely satisfied. I use the Anova circulator together with a container and chamber vacuum, and the results are consistently impressive. The temperature control is stable, heating is predictable, and the whole setup makes it easy to achieve restaurant-quality food at home. I’ve cooked everything from chicken and steak to long cooks on tougher cuts, and the results are juicy and perfectly even every time. Especially when combined with a chamber vacuum, you get a professional level of both texture and shelf life. The equipment feels solid, well thought out, and clearly designed for people who actually use sous vide frequently — not just occasionally. This has become a permanent tool in my kitchen."

Works well. Sturdy.

"Sturdy build. Big enough to keep my Anova Precision® Cooker Pro inside (when everything is dry) as well so I can save some storage space. It will be great if there is multiple positions for the metal rack to sit on. Right now the tank has to be filled all the way for the metal rack to work. Maybe implement lower position options so that it will also work when less water is used."

the lid does not fit without the iron rack.

"The container needs the iron rack, to open up, so that the lid will fit. I have the 2 containers, the 12 liter, and the 16 liter. With the 16 liter the container is good, but the rack sucks. With this 12 liter container, it needs the rack for the lid to fit. . . The container needs to be pushed open with the rack."

"This 12L container is a good size for my family size but the only issue I have is that the container is extreme thin plastic and takes forever to heat up the water to your desired temp. So this means that your sous vide will have to work at 110% just to maintain the set temp which will cut its life shorter. For the price of this container that is made of plastic and really cheap, it should have came with an insulated sleeve."
