Vegetarian Buddha Bowl Recipe with Brita Britnell from Food With Feeling

Updated

This month, Anova teamed up with Imperfect Foods and Food with Feeling founder and influencer Brita Britnell to bring you our first (incredibly delicious) sous vide vegetarian buddha bowl.

Brita used her Anova Precision® Cooker Pro, the Anova Reusable Silicone Sous Vide Bag in partnership with Stasher, plus ingredients such as onions, peppers, sweet potatoes, quinoa, garlic, fresh herbs, olive oil and more from her Imperfect Foods box to create the mouthwatering recipe - all while fighting food waste from her home.

Brita is a food blogger and videographer. She runs a mostly plant-based blog called Food with Feeling which encourages people to incorporate more meat-free and plant based recipes into their lifestyle. She got started cooking purely as a hobby and turned her passion into a career cooking and sharing recipes with the world. She lives in Portland, Oregon with her husband Stephen, her daughter Jemma, and 2 fluffy puppies, Lexi and Zorro.

Brita loves using her sous vide to cook multiple ingredients at once. Her favorite part is setting her Anova Precision® Cooker Pro and then being able to forget about it - spending the extra time hanging with her family. Her husband loves knowing he can hook the device through the app and check on things through his phone from any room throughout the house. And they both take comfort in knowing they will get perfect results, every time.

Aside from the buddha bowl, Brita loves making cheesy egg bites in her sous vide and storing them in the fridge to use throughout the week. One of her favorite recipes is from the blog Fit Foodie Finds.

Anova + Imperfect Foods

At Anova, we care deeply about the world we live in, our #anovafoodnerd community and creating meaningful experiences through cooking and food. So when we found out that over 20 billion pounds of food is thrown away every year simply because it doesn’t look “pretty” enough, we decided to do something about it.

So we've teamed up with our friends at Imperfect Foods to raise awareness around food waste. Since 2015, Imperfect Produce has disrupted the food system by saving produce deemed “cosmetically imperfect” and delivering them to customers' doors at a discounted rate.

We love their mission and we love food, so from April 8th through April 22nd, we’re offering 50% off your first Imperfect Foods box with every purchase in the US direct from our site. Simply visit Anovaculinary.com and select your favorite item(s). A code will be sent straight to your inbox after checkout is completed.

Until next time,
