FAQs
What is the oven's temperature range
The complete oven range is from 75-482°F (25-250°C).
Will the oven work with WiFi out of the box?
Yes, it is dual band 2.4/5GHz compatible. You will be able to pair your device as soon as you power it on.
Do I need a subscription?
No. However, while the oven will be connected to WiFi and can be controlled remotely, some features will not be available without a subscription.
Where does the steam go while cooking?
The oven has a new venting solution that dissipates moisture, so you should not see any steam coming out of the oven during a cook. You may feel a bit of warm moisture coming out from between the water tank and the door. This is normal.
What are the power needs? Do I need a dedicated circuit?
The oven has been developed to work on a regular circuit with a maximum output of 1800W. However, it is recommended to operate it off a dedicated circuit to avoid tripping your outlet.
Where can I put the oven?
The oven is designed to be a countertop appliance and is not recommended to be built into a cabinet. It requires a minimum clearance of 2”(50mm) on all sides and 4”(100mm) on top.
How does food recognition work?
The internal camera will take a photo of your food once the oven door is closed. If the food is recognized, the oven will suggest the best cook method. See our full list of recognized foods here to learn what your oven can currently identify. New foods will be added to this list over time.
Why do I want a camera?
There are many useful and fun features the camera has to offer. You can put food in the oven and have it immediately suggest oven settings and you can also view/share timelapses of your cooks. In the (not too distant future) you will be able to check-in/monitor your cooks remotely.
Can I use the oven without WiFi?
Yes, however some features may not be available. If you are a subscriber, the oven will remember when your current subscription is due to expire. If you are unsubscribed and not connected to WiFi, you will have access to the full manual control interface.
