An Important Announcement for Anova Precision Cooker Nano Customers

Food nerd family, we’re incredibly sorry to share that the Anova Precision Cooker Nano won’t ship this year. We’re delaying the launch until next year. We’d like to be completely transparent with you and lay out the situation as plainly as possible to let you know what happened and what we’re doing about it.  

Here’s what happened

When we launched pre-orders in June, we expected to begin shipping the Precision Cooker Nano in October. We did this for two reasons: first, we know that many of you are ahead of the curve and love being the first to purchase a new product. Second, we wanted to give our customers the opportunity to get first dibs on our next device at a substantial discount to show our appreciation. With the Precision Cooker Nano, we wanted to deliver a quality device with lab-grade precision at an affordable price point, and we aren’t willing to sacrifice on the experience just to deliver the product. However, we underestimated lead times for critical components and early units did not meet our quality expectations. We’re now estimating that pre-orders will ship in May, and we’re going to do everything in our power to hit this timeline.

Here’s what we’re doing for Anova Precision Cooker Nano customers

We’re giving people three options – (1) you can exchange the Nano for a Bluetooth Precision Cooker, (2) you can wait for the Nano, or (3) we’ll give you a full refund. Here’s more information about each option:
  • Exchange the Nano for a Bluetooth Precision Cooker. For some of you, the Nano would be your first Precision Cooker. For others, it would be a second cooker or a gift for a loved one. In any case, we want to make sure you are taken care of. So, we’re offering Nano pre-order customers the option to receive our current Bluetooth system in place of the Nano. Those of you who opt to receive a replacement Bluetooth system will receive the device on a first-come, first-serve basis. We’ll begin shipping orders immediately. We feel offering a replacement is the right thing to do, so we have increased production for the Precision Cooker Bluetooth in order to fulfill Nano pre-orders with them. We expect all replacement requests to be fulfilled in 2-4 weeks, subject to availability.
  • Wait for the Nano. If you choose to wait for the Nano, we’ll do our best to provide you with email updates and give you insight into Nano development. We’ll also give you a discount to purchase one of our existing systems, so that you receive a system before the holidays.
  • Get a full refund. We didn’t deliver on the timeline promised. So, we will provide refunds for anyone who would like to opt out of the first two options above. We will honor the pricing you paid during pre-orders if you do decide to re-order in the future.
