"I have seven immersion heaters, one off brand, two Joules, & 4 Precision Pro. I use the Precision Pro's & haven't touched my Joule units in a few years. The Precision Pro's heat fast, are easy to clean, control temp perfectly, and can do long cooks without missing a beat."
"I Started the smoothie with live cultured yogurt venture almost 2 years ago. The Annova Sous Vide cooker was a huge help, easily maintains a set temperature. When making L. Reuters and L. Gasseri strands of Yogurt that need a consistent temp of 100* the Annova Sous Vide was best suited for this task, it holds the temp consistently. Only thing I wish it had, since I use the Android app to . onitor progress is that the app had the function to switch off the Sous Vide when it is done cooking so that if your away from it when it's done cooking you can turn it off and the yogurt isn't overcooked because you don't have the option of shutting it off, it only shows that the time programmed in is now up. My secret is to section a whole turkey at Christmas and sous vide the light and dark meat for different times and then finish it in the oven. Sure, no carving of the bird, but sure is super moist.
