Frozen Screen During Wi-Fi Setup – Completely Unusable

"I had high expectations for the Anova Precision Cooker Pro, but unfortunately it has been a huge disappointment. During the initial Wi-Fi setup, the cooker froze completely. After restarting, the display only shows a “+” symbol and becomes totally unresponsive. The unit cannot be used, cannot reconnect to Wi-Fi, and there is no way to recover it. What’s even more frustrating is that this is already a replacement unit, and it developed the exact same problem during Wi-Fi setup. This suggests a firmware or software issue rather than an isolated hardware defect. For a premium sous vide cooker at this price point, this level of reliability is unacceptable. A failed Wi-Fi setup should never be able to permanently brick the device. Until Anova fixes this issue, I cannot recommend the Precision Cooker Pro. I purchased this model for its premium features, but instead ended up with two unusable units. Extremely disappointing."

"This device is amazing. I have been with Anova since the start, with their First Gen Anova Pro, and then 2 of the first gen Nano devices. Was able to run mutiple dishes at the same time. And also cook large gatherings with mutiple anovas in a huge chillybin of water. They lasted for many years and did a lot of work. This new Pro is so much more powerful it will take over from all of them and do large meals. Loving it."

Not what I expected, but it’s probably my misunderstanding.

"First thing I tried to cook was chicken breasts cooked to 145F after marinating in salt, cajun spice, and some olive oil. The result was just as chewy and rubbery as when I have tried to cook them on the grill. No fault of the Anova Precision Cooker Pro, it held the temp and circulation perfectly."

Constant issues

"I have always bought my sous vide machine from Anova. I must bought at least 10 machines. However the past few devices seems to break down very easily (the temperature shows a number when in fact it is measuring way above the shown temperature) and a few other issues. I am just really disappointed with the quality of the devices recently."

Horrible Customer Service

"Really disappointed with customer service. My product failed only a few days outside the warranty period, and the warranty was apparently being calculated from the shipment received date rather than when the product actually saw regular use. Responses averaged about 4 days between emails, dragging the process out for weeks, and after all that the only resolution offered was 20% off a replacement. For a premium-priced brand, I expected much better support and accountability."
