A new onboard camera identifies your meal and suggests the perfect cook method from Anova's deep knowledge base. And you can use the Anova Oven app to scan almost any recipe from a cookbook or even the directions found on your favorite frozen meals -- automagically converting them to a custom cook for this oven.

Dead Simple To Use

1. Unbox it

1. Unbox it

Open up the box once it arrives, remove the protective plastic wrap, and place the oven on your counter close to an electrical outlet. The oven has been designed to fit standard countertop dimensions while having enough capacity to handle everything from a rack of ribs to your Thanksgiving turkey.

Inside the box, we included a bunch of accessories to help you get cooking faster: two wire racks, a sheet pan, a temperature probe, and a quick start guide.

Oh, and feel free to grab a friend if you need a hand lifting the oven - though many do it solo.

2. Connect it

Plug in the oven and wait for the touchscreen to guide you through the initial setup. You'll want to download our free Anova app and connect the oven to WiFi, unlocking a few more capabilities.

Running late? Start preheating from your phone. Having friends over? Check progress without hovering by the oven. In the mood to try something new? Browse basic recipes and techniques in the app.

This level of basic connectivity puts control in your hands, wherever you are -- letting you experiment with the magic of combi cooking. In no time, you’ll be ready to steam, air fry, bake, broil, proof, dehydrate and more - all with professional-grade precision.

FAQs

What is the oven's temperature range

The complete oven range is from 75-482°F (25-250°C).

Will the oven work with WiFi out of the box?

Yes, it is dual band 2.4/5GHz compatible. You will be able to pair your device as soon as you power it on.

Do I need a subscription?

No. However, while the oven will be connected to WiFi and can be controlled remotely, some features will not be available without a subscription.

Where does the steam go while cooking?

The oven has a new venting solution that dissipates moisture, so you should not see any steam coming out of the oven during a cook. You may feel a bit of warm moisture coming out from between the water tank and the door. This is normal.

What are the power needs? Do I need a dedicated circuit?

The oven has been developed to work on a regular circuit with a maximum output of 1800W. However, it is recommended to operate it off a dedicated circuit to avoid tripping your outlet.

Where can I put the oven?

The oven is designed to be a countertop appliance and is not recommended to be built into a cabinet. It requires a minimum clearance of 2”(50mm) on all sides and 4”(100mm) on top.

How does food recognition work?

The internal camera will take a photo of your food once the oven door is closed. If the food is recognized, the oven will suggest the best cook method. See our full list of recognized foods here to learn what your oven can currently identify. New foods will be added to this list over time.

Why do I want a camera?

There are many useful and fun features the camera has to offer. You can put food in the oven and have it immediately suggest oven settings and you can also view/share timelapses of your cooks. In the (not too distant future) you will be able to check-in/monitor your cooks remotely.

Can I use the oven without WiFi?

Yes, however some features may not be available. If you are a subscriber, the oven will remember when your current subscription is due to expire. If you are unsubscribed and not connected to WiFi, you will have access to the full manual control interface.

Unfortunate experience

"This is the best oven on the market yet very cheaply built. I purchased two initially. Went through 4 so far. Something always breaks or stops working. Now we are out of warranty and had to buy the new version(so my 5th apo) which ended ip being about 3x the price of the older model. Listen for $1400(after tax) I want this oven to last 10 years, not 2 years and 1 month which is what i anticipate the life of version 2 will be. Very disappointed. If there was an alternative from the bigger brands I would not go with anova. But because we cook so much and professionally at home we have no other option at the moment."

Excellent household combo oven

"I am very pleased with my recent purchase of the Anova precision oven 2. 0. I have used it every day for the past week with excellent cooking results through the Anova app."

Aldemar G. (5/5)

Love the device - but limited recipes are disappon

"I have been a huge fan since the beginning and have bought (almost) all iterations of the products. Am disappointed with the recipe availability. Wanted to do a whole roast chicken in the precision oven and only one recipe available!!!!! Disappointing."

Doh (4/5)

I was a sceptic!

"My first APO failed, it was replaced and the replacement packed in when it was just out of warranty. I was very hesitant to buy another after reading reviews but, so far, have been very happy with my new (and third) APO. I was hesitant about the exposed bottom element with cleaning but so far that has been easy as lifts for cleaning. The camera is amazing with the way it selects the food, the panel with bright colours is so easy to use, my previous two ovens would not connect to wifi whereas this one connected without a problem and has not failed, love the way it selects food (eg bacon, English muffins) and cooks to perfection. I have to admit I cannot find fault. Since I have had an APO (from when first released in Australia) I have not used my full sized oven. I am thrilled I made the decision to give the APO one more chance, it is a great improvement on the original oven."

Do NOT purchase. Piece of junk.

"I bought the original ANOVA Precision Oven, and after a couple of years it stopped working. I reached out to ANOVA, and their only solution was to offer me 10% off on buying a new oven (same offer as signing up for their email list). They had no solution to repair the oven that I have. This is not a company you want to do business with. AVOID AVOID AVOID. Besides that, when I used it, it would constantly get extremely dirty and smell terrible even though I tried to clean it often. My kids would not want to eat anything from their oven. At our restaurant we use a Rational Combi Oven, which has an incredible cleaning mode. I plan to purchase one for my home."

Food prep essential

"This is our second ANOVA precision oven, and we love it. Our first oven is still going strong in my son's kitchen. We rarely use our regular range oven, as we cook everything in the ANOVA. It has become the core supporting our healthy and delicious diet."

Janice S. (5/5)

Great countertop oven!

"I had a June oven before this and thought it was the best until I got the Anova Precision Oven 2. 0! It is by far better than any countertop oven including the June that I’ve ever owned and used! I use it more than my large ovens. love the camera food recognition feature, the multiple stage possibilities when cooking, and the steam mode. I would love to be able to type in the food that the camera does not recognize. For example, it does not recognize mini corn dogs or sourdough bread. It would be nice to be able to put names of food and that it does not recognize as a title for future cooking."

Sheryl B. (5/5)

Very negative, terrible customer service

"This is the worst experience I have ever had, we returned our oven for a replacement 5 months ago and still no advice on when we will get our oven back or a refund. There is just automated responses with no one in Australia to speak to. I would not recommend a purchase from this company. Would give a minus in my review of this company"

Lea (1/5)

Not made to last

"Our oven started shutting itself off randomly without warning at around 18 months of use. Spent some time trying every solution listed online and didn’t contact warranty until it was just past the warranty period (my mistake) and got the shaft from customer service!! Save your money and stick with an appliance built to last!"

Ty M. (1/5)

The 'I can do anything better than you' oven!

"We nicknamed our first Anova oven this because it replaced so many of our other appliances! Now this Anova 2. 0 is even better! We absolutely love it. Love all the new features, particularly it's ability to read any recipe and translate it to our Anova. Our guests rave about how moist our meat is and we brag about this oven to everyone who will listen. 100% thrilled. 100% recommend!"
