Good but not perfect yet

"After 9. 5 years the old version 2. 1 started losing power. Because of its age, the fact that WiFi didn’t connect anymore and also the control wheel jumped aroundee we decided to go for the 3. 0 version. It’s noisier than its predecessor. The touch screen is easy to operate. I hope that the clamp is a lot better than the old version (I broke two of them without doing anything weird). The fact that the app requires a subscription for the advanced features is a real disappointment. I was lucky enough to have a really old account, so I can still use it for free. You don’t need the app to use it but if you like the advanced features the subscription is a big disadvantage. The extra heating power can be nice for some but I’m used to starting with warm water anyway. The power cord is s bit longer than the previous one which is always nice. All in all a nice device with some improvements and some newly introduced disadvantages."

Nothing to complain About

"I got to tell you, I've had my unit for over four years and I can't think of a single thing to complain about. But, I do have one heads up. . . which they tell you about. If my meal is a larger item, like a brisket, it just takes a little longer to heat up. If I did more large items I might invest in the top sous vide, but, I think I'm good. I feel bad for those that had issues--but, that's not my experience."

A real upgrade in the kitchen

"I’ve been using the Anova Precision Cooker 3. 0 for a while now, and I can confidently say it exceeds expectations. The temperature control is extremely precise and stable, which makes a significant difference in the final result — especially when cooking meat. I’ve tested several types (pork, beef), and the texture and consistency are restaurant-level, consistently. It practically eliminates the risk of overcooking, which for me is one of the biggest advantages. Another strong point is ease of use: the controls are intuitive, and the device does its job without hassle. The build quality also feels solid and well thought out. In conclusion, it’s an excellent product for anyone looking for consistent results and full control in the kitchen. For me, it quickly became an essential tool."

excellent product

"Still practicing. Made the mistake of purchasing ox ribete steak, thinking it would have a better flavour, but it was too strong so I ended up giving it to my dogs!!! Awaiting the arrival of 200 bags to continue experimenting with all the different meats I've bought!"

First Time Cook

"Was a little uncertain on length of time to leave meat in the water bath since these steaks were a little on the thin side so I think I actually could have reduced the time by 30 minutes and been fine. Would suggest more information on time of use for various meat thicknesses."

Some good some bad

"The sous vide stick works very well, nothing to complain about. However, trying to charge a subscription fee in order to see recipes in the apps has to be one of the most ridiculous attempts of monetisation I've witnessed so far. Probably wouldn't recommend this product to others solely because of that."
